Counselling provides a supportive, confidential space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences with a trained professional. It offers time to slow down, understand what’s happening beneath the surface, and make sense of emotions that may feel overwhelming or confusing. It’s not about being given answers as my truth may not be your truth — it’s about being heard, understood, and supported as you work out what you need and explore the right strategies to move forward.
I invite you to book a free 15 minute consultation call, through the ‘Contact Me’ page, if you would like to get a feel for how we might work together.

I work integratively, with a foundation in the person‑centred approach. This means our work begins with what feels important to you and moves at a pace that feels right. Your experiences shape each session, and my role is to offer a compassionate, safe, non‑judgemental space where you can talk openly and feel understood.
From this person‑centred base, I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches when they may support your process. This can include ideas or techniques from different modalities to help you notice patterns, navigate difficult emotions, or explore your inner world more deeply — always in a way that aligns with your needs and your direction

I hold a BSc in Integrative Counselling and have worked with clients in multiple services since graduating in 2009.
A significant part of my counselling training and work has centred on grief, loss, and the search for meaning that often follows major life changes. I’ve supported clients facing both the emotional impact of loss and the deeper questions it can raise about identity, connection, and purpose.
I have also worked with clients around trauma, mental health conditions and their sense of self worth and esteem.
Clients often bring a mix of experiences that are varied and complex, and my ongoing CPD learning helps me understand these more deeply and work safely, confidently, and in line with the changes they want to make.
As a registered BACP counsellor, I work within my professional competency. If, within our initial consultation call or counselling session, I felt that my expertise do not match what would be most supportive for you then I would be honest and offer appropriate signposting to alternative support where possible.

I offer in person sessions from a dedicated therapy space in Lincoln town centre. On booking your session I will send you clear confirmation of the session date, time and location and I will meet you at the door on arrival.
I see clients within online counselling sessions via Konfidens, a secure platform designed specifically for therapists and healthcare professionals.
Using Konfidens means that you can access counselling from the comfort of your own home, with no software to install. Simply click on the secure link I send before the appointment to join the session from your computer, tablet, or smartphone.
The platform uses encrypted video calls to protect your privacy and confidentiality. It is compliant with UK data protection requirements (GDPR), helping to keep your personal information secure.

Sessions last 50 minutes.

I offer weekly counselling because meeting at a consistent time each week creates stability and momentum in the work. A regular rhythm helps you stay connected to your process, gives space for insights to build from one session to the next, and supports a deeper sense of safety and continuity as you explore what’s happening in your life.
Some people come for a short period, focusing on a particular situation or a moment in life that feels especially heavy. Others choose longer‑term therapy, using the space to understand themselves more deeply or to work through experiences that need time and patience.
There’s no set schedule. We’ll talk together about what feels right for you, and your therapy can be as short or as long as you need.
-
Everything you share with me in counselling is treated with strict confidentiality, and I handle your information with care, respect, and in line with UK GDPR and professional ethical standards.
I only collect the information I need to provide safe, effective therapy, and I store it securely. Your details are never shared with anyone unless there is a serious concern for your safety or someone else’s, or if I am legally required to do so. If we ever need to talk about this, I’ll explain things clearly so you always know where you stand.
You can read my full privacy statement from the menu above.
