Are you experiencing painful or complicated feelings? It could be that you need support due to a life event, bereavement, a loss or that your inner world seems a fearful place.

You may not yet have a clear sense of who you are at your core or where you want to be heading on your life path. Over time, other people and societal expectations can shape us into who we think we should be, rather than who we authentically are.

Perhaps you find yourself slipping into daily distractions or emotional numbness simply as a way to cope with everything that you are carrying. Doom scrolling through the uncomfortable, each day.

If this is where you find yourself please know that you are not alone.

Whatever is troubling you, talking to a qualified counsellor within a safe and non judgemental space, can help.

Together we can work towards:

  • Reconnecting with your authentic self

  • Finding a way forward through grief and loss

  • Breaking free from fear and self-doubt

  • Managing anxiety, overwhelm and stress

  • Building genuine self-worth and confidence

  • Finding your voice and expressing yourself with confidence

  • Healing the impact of difficult relationships

  • Managing work related stress and pressure

  • Creating healthier patterns and lasting change

In Person Counselling

I offer face‑to‑face counselling from a comfortable therapy room in the centre of Lincoln. It’s a calm, private space where you can take a moment for yourself, settle in, and step away from the pace of everyday life. Being right in the city centre makes it easy to get to, and many people appreciate having a dedicated place to come each week.

There’s something unique about meeting in person. Sharing the same room helps the work feel more grounded and connected. The natural flow of conversation, the pauses, the gentle shifts in expression — all of these small non‑verbal moments help us stay attuned to what’s happening for you. The room becomes a steady, supportive environment where you can talk openly and feel met in a real, human way.

I work collaboratively, so we explore things together rather than me leading you in a particular direction. In person, this collaboration can feel more immediate. We can gently notice the subtle changes that happen in your body as you talk — a change in breath, a tightening in the shoulders, a softening in your posture. These physiological shifts often tell us something important about how your nervous system is responding, and becoming aware of them can help you understand your patterns more clearly.

Coming to a physical space also creates a natural boundary from daily life. Arriving, sitting down, and then leaving again gives the session a clear beginning and end, which many people find helps them engage more fully and reflect afterwards. And without screens or digital interruptions, the time we spend together tends to feel more focused and uninterrupted. For a lot of people, being physically present makes it easier to connect with their emotions and tune into what’s happening inside.

Online Counselling

I offer online counselling sessions for adults across the UK.

Online therapy can be a great option if you prefer the comfort and privacy of your own home, or if travelling for in person counselling isn’t practical. Meeting from your own space can make it easier to settle into the session and speak openly, and many people find they focus well when they’re in a familiar environment as they are more calm and at ease. Online sessions provide an accessible option that fits around daily life while still offering reliable therapeutic support.

A key practical requirement is having a stable broadband connection with sufficient speed to support uninterrupted video or audio sessions. This helps maintain clarity, reduces the likelihood of dropped calls, and supports a consistent therapeutic flow.

You would also need a quiet, confidential space where you can speak freely, along with a device such as a laptop, tablet, or smartphone. It may be less appropriate if privacy is difficult to achieve, if technology feels overwhelming, or if you are experiencing circumstances that require more immediate or intensive in‑person support.

If you would like to discuss whether this would be the right option for you then please do send me a message and we can arrange a free 15 minute consultation so you can ask any questions that you may have.

Fees

£45 per 50 minute session.
